Dorothy Frooks (1899- ) is an American lawyer, author and publisher. She was a writer for the Evening World (New York) from 1920 to 1932 and has published The Murray Hill News since 1952. Her writings included fiction and non-fiction works and she was active in legal organizations, veteran's groups (she served in World War I and II), and worked to stop passage of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).
